Trailer Hauling

Trailers hauling is the process of having a trailer transported from one location to another.  Most times this is done by either hauling the unit or the unit can be towed.  Both options are safe.

But there are restrictions involved with each option.  If the trailer hauling service will include us actually just sending out a truck to hook up to the trailer and then pull it, the trailer must be in good condition as outlined by the Department of Transportation.  If the unit is going to be placed on our trailer and hauled then there is a max height restriction.

Hauling Trailers

Hauling trailers are trailers that are used by transport companies to transport items.  There are so many different types of trailers and they all do something different.  Hauling trailers can be used to transport all types of vehicles and equipment.  Now when it comes to hauling trailers you want to make sure that the company that you are using has to experience in hauling trailers.

It is easy to choose a company based on a cheap price.  This is not always the best way to find a company.  Hauling trailers is not an easy process and should not be trusted by just any company.

Shipping Container Trailer

A shipping container trailer is a specific trailer that is used for transporting a shipping container.  A shipping container trailer looks different from most trailers.  They are made so that a shipping container will fit directly on it for transport.  A shipping container trailer in most cases in adjustable and can hold containers of varying lengths.  The length can be 20 to 40 feet.

These trailers will still be able to hold either one of them.  These trailers are found in high numbers at ports or rail stations where there is a high volume of shipping containers.

Trailer Transport

Trailer transport is usually done by a process called a hook and pull.  A hook and pull trailer transport is when we send one of our trucks out to the location and hook up to it and pull it to the desired location.  A hook and pull trailer transport usually also involves one of two standard hitch types.

The first hitch type is a standard ball and hitch.  These are the most common trailer transport.  Heavy-duty trucks that are used for trailer transport have a standard ball and hitch.  The second type of hitch is called a fifth wheel attachment.  These are specialized hitches that are installed in the bed of the pickup truck.

Trailers that use a fifth-wheel attachment will have a special ball that is located on the trailer to specifically fit down into the fifth wheel attachment in the back of the bed of the truck.

How do travel trailers get shipped?

There are two basic ways for travel trailers to get shipped.  The trailer can be shipped using a service called “hook and pull.”  This is when the trailer is in good shape and we just send a truck out to hook to it and pull it to the drop-off location.  The other option is that that travel trailer can be placed on one of our trailers and hauled to the drop-off location.
