Step 3: Pickup and Inspection

Step 4: Delivery

How to Prepare Your Car for Shipping

• Wash the vehicle before pickup. A clean car makes the pre-transport inspection accurate — existing damage is documented clearly, not disputed at delivery.
• Keep the gas tank at a quarter full. A full tank adds unnecessary weight to the carrier. A quarter tank is enough for loading and unloading.
• Remove all personal items. Carriers are not licensed to transport personal belongings, and items left inside are not covered by transport insurance.
• Retract or remove the antenna. Roof racks, cargo boxes, and aftermarket accessories extending beyond the vehicle’s profile should come off before pickup.
• Take photos before handoff. All four sides, front, rear, and any existing damage. Your baseline record if anything is questioned at delivery.
• Disable the car alarm or leave deactivation instructions with the driver.
• Check for fluid leaks. Active leaks can contaminate other vehicles on the carrier.
• For winter shipments: remove ice scrapers, brushes, and any seasonal gear from the vehicle. These are personal items not covered during transport.
