Nationwide RV Transport You Can Actually Count On

Moving an RV across the country is not the same as shipping a car. The vehicles are bigger, heavier, and taller. The permit requirements are different. The trailer options matter more. And the difference between a company that knows what it’s doing and one that doesn’t shows up the moment something goes wrong on the road.

We Will Transport It has been moving recreational vehicles since we opened. Our drivers have handled Class A diesel pushers, 45-foot fifth wheels, pop-up campers, vintage Airstreams, and everything in between. We match every unit to the right transport method, pull the permits, and deliver it door-to-door with cargo insurance covering the full move.

Safety and preparation come first, so you can have peace of mind from pickup to delivery.

Whether you’re looking for cheap RV movers near me for a short local move or need reliable RV delivery across multiple states, we make the process straightforward and dependable. Every job is carefully scheduled and handled on time. With us, your RV isn’t just another load; it’s handled as if it were our own.

How Much Does RV Transport Cost?

RV shipping rates run approximately $1.50 to $5.00 per mile depending on your unit’s size, the transport method, the route, and current fuel costs. Here is what the range looks like in practice:

Unit Type Transport Method Typical Rate
Pop-up camper or small travel trailer Tow-away $1.50 – $2.50/mile
Mid-size fifth wheel or travel trailer Tow-away or flatbed $2.00 – $3.00/mile
Class B or Class C motorhome Drive-away or flatbed $1.75 – $2.75/mile
Class A motorhome (under 40 ft) Drive-away or flatbed $2.00 – $3.50/mile
Large Class A or oversize unit Lowboy or RGN $3.00 – $5.00/mile

These ranges reflect real jobs we have completed. Your specific quote depends on actual dimensions, weight, pickup and delivery locations, and required permits.

What Affects Your RV Shipping Cost

Several variables move the price up or down. Understanding them helps you get the most accurate quote and the best rate for your situation.

Distance is the primary driver. Longer hauls cost more in total but typically less per mile than short regional moves, where the fixed cost of mobilizing a driver and trailer is spread over fewer miles.

Unit size and weight determine trailer requirements. A 28-foot Class C motorhome moves differently than a 45-foot Class A diesel pusher, and the trailer required for each has a different operating cost.

Transport method matters significantly. Drive-away is generally the most economical for roadworthy motorhomes. Flatbed and lowboy moves cost more because of the specialized trailer and loading equipment involved.

Oversize permits are required when any dimension of the unit on its transport trailer exceeds legal highway limits. Most large motorhomes exceed at least one dimension. We handle all permit applications; the cost is factored into your quote.

Timing and flexibility affect pricing. Rush moves and peak snowbird season (October through December and March through April) command higher rates. Customers with flexible pickup windows of 5 to 7 days typically pay less than those requiring same-week dispatch.

Fuel costs are built into the per-mile rate and fluctuate with diesel prices. We lock your rate at booking.

Trailers We Use for RV Hauling

Every RV requires the right trailer for safe RV transportation. Our fleet covers all the bases: flatbeds for smaller trailers, step decks for taller campers, lowboys for heavy motorhomes, RGNs for oversize units, double drop decks for very tall RVs, and Landolls for roll-on and roll-off moves. This range of equipment lets us match each unit with the safest hauling method.

RV Transport Methods We Use

Not every RV moves the same way. We select the right transport method for your unit based on its class, condition, dimensions, and destination.

Drive-Away

A licensed driver operates your motorhome from pickup to delivery. Best for Class A, B, and C motorhomes in roadworthy condition with current registration and insurance. The unit must have good tires, functioning brakes, and working lights. Fuel costs during the move are covered by the transport rate.

Tow-Away

Your trailer is hitched to our transport truck and towed to its destination. Used for fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers, and other towable RVs. The trailer must have road-legal tires, functioning lights, and a compatible hitch connection. This is the most common method for mid-range hauls.

Flatbed and Lowboy Transport

Your RV is loaded onto a specialized trailer and hauled as cargo. Used for non-running or non-roadworthy units, very large or oversize RVs, and any situation where drive-away or tow-away is not appropriate. Lowboy trailers carry the heaviest and tallest Class A units. Step decks handle mid-height motorhomes that exceed standard flatbed clearance.

RGN (Removable Gooseneck)

For the largest motorhomes and oversize units, an RGN trailer detaches its front section to allow the vehicle to drive or roll directly onto the deck. Used when the unit’s height or length makes other loading methods impractical.

Hitch and Go

A simpler version of tow-away for units that are road-legal and designed for quick connection. Faster setup, more economical on shorter and mid-range hauls.

Preparing Your RV for Transport

A few steps before pickup protect your unit and speed up the process.

Remove or secure all loose items inside and outside the coach. Slide-outs should be fully retracted. Awnings must be secured or removed. Antennas and satellite dishes should be stowed in their lowest position. Propane tanks should be turned off. All exterior doors and compartments should be locked. Personal items should be removed, because cargo inside the RV is not covered by transport insurance.

For drive-away moves, confirm the fuel level is adequate for the route, tires are properly inflated, and registration and insurance are current.

Document existing condition with photos before the driver arrives. Walk around the entire unit and photograph any existing scratches, scuffs, or damage. This protects both parties and makes any condition question after delivery easy to resolve.

What to Have Ready When You Call:

  • RV year, make, model, and class
  • Overall length, height, and width
  • Approximate weight
  • Whether the unit is self-propelled or towable
  • Current operational status (running/non-running)
  • Pickup location (home, dealership, storage yard, campground)
  • Delivery location
  • Preferred pickup window

The more accurate your dimensions, the more accurate your quote. Spec sheet numbers are a starting point (actual transport dimensions, including any slide-outs or add-ons, are what determine trailer selection and permit requirements).
